The Healer is You LLC, doing business as The Healing Tea Company, operates thehealingteacompany.com and its associated business applications. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information through our website and our Meta Threads integration.
Information We Collect
- Information you provide when creating an account, placing an order, subscribing to emails, or contacting us, such as your name, email address, contact details, delivery address, and order information.
- Messages and information you choose to submit to our AI assistant or other website forms.
- Technical information used to operate and protect the website, such as request and error logs, and website usage counts such as page visits and referral sources.
- Payment and transaction information provided by our payment processor, Stripe, to confirm and manage orders. Payment card details are handled by Stripe.
Meta and Threads App Data
Our Threads integration is an internal business tool used by authorized administrators to connect The Healing Tea Company's Threads account, find relevant public conversations about tea, and review and publish business replies. Website visitors do not need to connect a Meta account to read this policy or browse our public website.
When our business account is connected through Meta's authorization process, we store its account identifier, username, encrypted access token, and connection and expiration dates. We do not ask for or store your Meta password.
Through the Threads API, we collect public post text, post and author identifiers when available, usernames, post links, timestamps, and search phrases. We also store relevance assessments, suggested replies, follow-up drafts, review status, and reply publication records. We use this information to identify relevant tea inquiries, organize conversations, and help our business respond. An administrator reviews and initiates replies before publication.
How We Use and Share Information
We use information to manage accounts, fulfill orders, provide customer support, send requested communications, operate our business tools, improve our services, and protect against errors, fraud, and misuse.
We use service providers for payments, hosting, data storage, email delivery, and AI features. Our AI features use OpenAI. When a Threads post is evaluated, its public text and timestamp, search category, and relevant product information are sent to OpenAI to assess relevance and generate a draft response. Information you submit to our website's AI assistant is also processed to generate a response. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information.
Replies approved for publication are sent to Meta and become visible on Threads. Meta and other external services process information under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our customers, business, and services.
Cookies and Browser Storage
We use cookies and browser storage for features such as sign-in, security, account connections, and shopping cart functionality. You can manage cookies and stored website data in your browser. Blocking or clearing them may affect these features.
Retention and Security
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, including operating our services, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and those needs. We use access controls and encrypted storage for Threads access tokens to help protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Choices and Data Deletion Requests
To request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold about you, email healingtea@thehealingteacompany.com with the subject “Privacy and data deletion request.” For Threads data, include your Threads username and the relevant public post links or account identifier so we can locate the records. Do not send passwords or access tokens. We may ask for information needed to verify your request.
Our Threads integration also supports Meta's signed deauthorization and data deletion requests. A verified request for the connected business account removes its stored connection, access token, and associated collected post records. A verified request identifying a post author removes collected post records associated with that author identifier.
Deleting our stored records does not delete posts or replies already published on Threads; those must be managed on Threads. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or security purposes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email.
